St Vincent de Paul seeking a new home in Kilworth

-

The St Vincent de Paul Society is looking for a new location in Kilworth in which to place its clothes bank.

“Having had an excellent base for our clothing bank at Centra Supermarket in Kilworth for many years, for which we are ever so grateful to the proprietors, we now find it is not possible to remain at this site any longer. We are therefore seeking an alternative site of approximately five feet by four feet to relocate,” a spokesperson said.

“It would need to be visible and convenient to the public. The clothes, shoes, books and bric-a-brac deposited in these receptacles are of immense value to our society as they help stock our charity shops, in addition to clothing the occasional family.

“Our society have been very active within the Kilworth area when it comes to providing assistance to those in need. The banks have the added advantage in that they have a positive impact on reducing the volumes of materials dumped on the roadsides. We service them three time per week to avoid overflowing.

“Our thanks to the proprietors of Centra Supermarket for the facilities they have provided in the past and we trust our appeal will not go unnoticed. Should you have a suggestion as to where we could place our bank/s therefore, we would greatly appreciate if you would contact Liam Roche at 087-7711585 or Mr Sean Hegarty at 086-2717950. In the meantime, should you wish to donate some clothes, you will find our banks at Tesco Mitchelstown or at the old cattle mart in Fermoy.”
