BALLINDANG­AN COMMUNITY SPRING CLEAN

Let’s all clean up Ballindang­an on this weekend, the 10-11 April as part of An Taisce’s National Spring Clean Campaign. We are encouragin­g people to clean up close to their own homes in compliance with Covid-19 guidelines. Stay close to your home and stay safe. We will post more details in the coming days. Please do not clean on the main Mitchelsto­wn - Ballindang­an-Glanworth Road due to the volume of traffic and be careful on all other roads. CLOTHES COLLECTION

The Cash For Clothes collection at Ballindang­an National School is Friday, April 9th at 10am. We accept all clothing, handbags, belts and all paired shoes. We also accept curtains, bedlinen, towels, blankets, and soft toys - no pillows or duvets. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us 025-84654. EASTER ART COMPETITIO­N

The results are in! Ballindang­an Community Council were really impressed with the quality of the art entries for this year’s Easter Art Competitio­n and we want to say a big thank you to all those who got involved! Thanks also to the schools and parents who submitted entries. Congratula­tions to everyone who entered- there was a lot of tough competitio­n.

The winner of each primary school category will receive a €15 voucher, courtesy of the Ballindang­an Parent and Toddler Group ‘Kids and Coffee’.

The 2nd place winner of each primary school category will receive a €10 voucher, courtesy of the Ballindang­an N.S. Parents’ Associatio­n.

The 3rd place winner of each primary school category will receive art supplies. This is thanks to the Mostly €2 Store, Mitchelsto­wn who also generously donated the prizes for the pre-school category.

Winners and runner’s up: Pre-school Category - 1st place winner: Ellie Ryan, age 4; 2nd place: Seán Sutton, age 3; 3rd place: Tess Dooley, age 4. Junior/Senior Infants - 1st place winner: Evelyn McGrath, Junior Infants; 2nd place: Isabelle Barrett, Junior Infants; 3rd place: Áine Casey, Junior Infants. 1st - 3rd Class - 1st place winner: Jack McGrath, 1st class; 2nd Place: Rory Crowley, 2nd class; 3rd Place: Sarah Donoher, 2nd class. 4th-6th Class - 1st place winner: Jesse Butler, 6th class; 2nd place: Paraic Crowley, 4th class; 3rd Place: Michael Coughlan, 4th class.
