Government to allow underage club training to resume

-

The government and NPHET have announced a cautious resumption of underage training from April 26th. Taoiseach Michéal Martin confirmed that inter-county pre-season training can start on Monday, April 19 followed by underage (non-contact) a week later. The Central Competitions Control Committee will discuss plans for the season after the GAA’s Covid-19 advisory group meet to recommend an official start date for competitions and updated return to play protocols. One can assume that it will be similar to last year where parents will need to confirm their child’s health status online prior to each training session. Lismore GAA club will again step up to ensure these protocols are followed to allow each juvenile player train in a safe and enjoyable environment.
