COLLISION ON THE N72

Fermoy Fire Brigade attended the scene of a road traffic accident near Fermoy hospital on Saturday evening last.

According to a spokesperson, the collision was between a car and a van. Thankfully, no injuries were reported from the accident which occurred on the N72 Fermoy to Tallow road.

That same day the brigade attended a fire at the Fermoy GAA grounds at around lunchtime. It is understood that the small fire occurred as a result of some rubbish being ignited.

Meanwhile, on Thursday last, the Fermoy Fire Brigade performed an ambulance assist in the area for an individual who had fallen.

A number of alarm activations throughout the week were also reported.
