Burncourt plans for opening up

-

The South Tipperary village of Burncourt has a vibrant Community Council that continues to improve and develop the village and its environs.

Volunteers put in a sustained effort and they in turn, are rewarded with tremendous public support.

This has been proven once again with the great response which has been forthcoming to the request for donations towards the plan to create a covered outdoor area at the rear of the Community Hall.

With our way of life changed beyond comprehension over the last twelve months, community groups and organisations have been trying to find new ways of doing things in order to stay within the current guidelines.

To this end, Burncourt Community Council have planned a covered outdoor area to help cater for events that are unsuitable or may be restrictive for indoors. The covered area will not just allow for events such as concerts, drama productions, summertime entertainment etc., but will also provide an overflow space for times such as The Big Breakfast and when funeral catering is called for.

The committee will be happy to take on board any other possible suggestions for use of the facility and are thankful to those who have contributed to date. Should you still wish to add to the funds, you are asked to please make your donations, regardless of how small by lodging to Burncourt Community Council CLG Bank Account: IBAN: IE06 AIBK 9361 6210 3952 66 (BIC: AIBKIE2D). Equally, you can return your donation to either of the following: Maureen Creed, Breeda Fitzgerald, Margaret Fox, Siobhan Hurley, Willie Walsh, Mags Carroll, Shelly Caplice, Shane Fox or Seán Fitzgerald.
