GLENROE TIDY TOWNS

Road safety works near Glenroe CNS - Limerick City and Country Council plan to commence laying a footpath from the school to the Church, installing flashing lights and doing road marking, starting on Monday next (19th). The path will be on the school side of the road. GBCC wish to thank Diarmuid Sheehy and James O’Rourke, LCCC for putting lines on the road to give the community and the school an opportunit­y to make an informed decision.

LANDSCAPIN­G ON SPITTLE ROAD

Dé Danny Gardens has completed the installati­on of the poles and having rotovated the ground on both sides, has sewn wildflower and lawn seeds. Glenroe Tidy Towns sends a big thank you for the donation of poles and to Tommy and Marion Leahy for machinery and topsoil.

DANDELIONS FOR BEES

Do continue to leave the dandelions flower and seed. At this time of the year they are a precious source of food for bees.

CLOTHES BANK

The lovely pink Clothes Bank is located in Glenroe Church Car Park which can be used by people near and far to recycle their household clothing. Spring is here and now is the time to give that wardrobe a clean out. Profits from the bin will be given to the Community Council so that they can continue to run events and invest in the local area. It is important to note all clothes, shoes and household clothing will be accepted, except duvets and pillows.

GLENROE BALLYORGAN PARISH

Mass: Sunday morning Mass in St Andrew’s Church Kilfinane is streamed live at 11am by Fr Michael O’Shea. An hour later mass will be up on YouTube for viewing in your own time. Glenroe and Ballyorgan Churches are open each day for private prayer. Easter water is available for collection in each church. If anyone in the parish wants the link for Mass on WhatApps please message Geraldine on 086-0886611.

GLENROE GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of the Lotto draw on April 8th. The numbers drawn were 4, 8, 18, 20. Congratula­tions to the lucky dip winners O’Dea Clan, DJ and Billy Sheehy, Michael Higgins, Yvonne Byrne, Eileen Sheehy, Sean Moloney Snr.
