Juveniles eye April 26th return

-

Monday, April 26th will see the return of juvenile training. Girls and boys are undertstandably thrilled at the prospect of meeting their buddies and training collectively again following several months of inactivity. With a bit of luck, this is the first step in a process that, in time, will see a full resumption of onfield GAA activity.

ANOTHER BIG EVENT ON 25TH APRIL

There’s another significant event on the eve of the 26th, with Araglin’s drive in bingo committee getting the green light to resume this important fundraiser. The drive in, outdoor format is ideally suited to the community field and going on previous experiences, it should draw a large crowd. This is definitely a date for your diary - Sunday, 25th April.

SERIOUS INCIDENT IN ARAGLIN

Unfortunately, the air ambulance was back again over Araglin this week. The helicopter was called to assist in taking local man, Michael O’Donovan (Gortnaskehy) to hospital following an accident at his home. Michael, who is in his 80s, is very well known and widely respected. Everyone in the club hopes and prays, he recovers from his injuries.

BILL CAREY IN HOSPITAL

Former GAA chairman, Bill Carey is also in hospital. Another pillar of the community, who did great work over the years, we all hope things work out and that Bill is back home in Ballard before too long.

The club also extends good wishes to the following: Michael Daly (Ballamadock), Margaret Rice-Allen and Diane Hickey-Meagher.

CONDOLENCES

The club takes this opportunity to sympathise with club member, Maurice ‘Moss’ Reidy from Lyre, on the death of his aunt, Bridie Keenan (nee Gray) from Emyvale, Co. Monaghan. RIP.
