Fingers crossed

-

The latest club lotto draw took place on Sunday last. There was no winner of the jackpot on this occasion. The 5 tickets drawn out in the lucky dip, each winning €20, were Tim Mahony, Billy Sheehan, Richard Relihan, Anna Carey and Tom Murphy. The jackpot now stands at €1,500. The next draw takes place on Sunday, April 25. Tickets are available through local retail outlets in the village, from your usual sellers or through any club officer.

MEMBERSHIP

A reminder to those who have yet to pay club membership for 2021. Membership has been set at €50 per adult/€20 for students and OAPs. We would appreciate if you could arrange to pay membership as soon as possible to any member of the club committee.

RETURN TO PLAY

Everybody associated with the GAA Community was delighted to see the news last week that juvenile non-contact GAA training will be permitted from April 26 onwards. This is the first step in the road back to GAA action and preparations are underway to make this happen. We are still awaiting news on when adult teams will be resuming their activity, so fingers crossed this will be in the near future.

KEEPING OUR FACILITIES TIDY

A reminder to all patrons to please help to keep our facilities tidy by taking any empty bottles, cans, wrappers or rubbish home with you from the pitch after finishing your walk or exercise. The vast majority of people using the pitch already do this. Everybody’s cooperation in taking responsibility for their own rubbish will ensure we continue to have a public facility which we can be truly proud of.
