Kildorrery’s Caoimhe Duggan launches new book
Caoimhe Duggan, author and adventurer, is set to change lives with her debut book, ‘No Limits - The Secrets and Skills of Successful People’. Caoimhe, a native of Kildorrery, wrote the book to equip young people starting on their career path with the skills and tools to be a success. The aim of the book is to equip everyone in the workplace, regardless of job title or position, to get their fair share of learning and mentoring to promote equality of opportunity.
Caoimhe grew up in Kildorrery, one in a family of 14, attending the Presentation Convent in Mitchelstown. She studied Business and IT in Athlone Institute of Technology, before moving to nearby Rathcormac in her twenties and joining Ronan Daly Jermyn Solicitors in Cork City as an IT Consultant.
In 2009 she backpacked around the world, before settling in Singapore. Starting there, she built a successful career throughout Asia, helping recruitment agencies to set up in the region. In 2012, she gained recognition when the offices she built were titled ‘The Best Offices in the World’ by Channel News Asia.
Caoimhe has an ambition to be part of the creation of a more equal society, and believes that everyone should be afforded an equal opportunity in the workplace. In 2017, she pursued that dream and developed the world’s first automated personal and career development programme dedicated entirely to admin and support staff.
NO STONE UNTURNED
Her mission now is to give people a great start to their career, providing a compass and a little direction. She has recently set up myearlycareer.com, wrote her first book and is currently writing her second one.
‘No Limits - The Secrets and Skills of Successful People’ includes a collection of extraordinary stories and lessons learned from the careers of successful people, including Katie Taylor, JK Rowling, The Williams Sisters and Conor McGregor. Despite the controversial nature of some of these characters, it can’t be denied that they have had, and continue to have, extraordinarily successful careers.
Outside of work, Ms Duggan leaves no stone unturned. She has seen over half the world, flew a stunt plane in New Zealand, hiked down into the blue fires of Mount Ijen in Indonesia and trekked across the marshes of the Pantanal in South America. She currently lives in Norrköping, Sweden with her partner.
