Glenroe GAA will host a golf classic fundraiser at the Tipperary Golf Club with new dates of 22nd and 23rd of July. Entry is €150 for a team of 3 (including a BBQ). You can also sponsor a green or a tee box for €100.

First prize “A four ball at the Old Head of Kinsale”.

If you wish to enter a team, sponsor a prize etc please contact one of the organisers, more details are available online.

JUNIOR B SOUTH LEAGUE Glenroe 2-12 Knockainey 0-11

Glenroe Junior B team booked their place in the South League Final with an impressive win against Knockainey in Glenroe on Sunday, 11th July.

Glenroe took a bit of time to get into the game trailing by a point going into the first water break. The quality of the team came through emphatical­ly in the second quarter of the game with Glenroe adding 2-03 to their score while only conceding 2 points in this period. The scoreline at the break was 2-06 to 0-06. Glenroe did not look back from this in the second half keeping the opposition at bay for the rest of the match and scoring some impressive scores in the process. It was a great performanc­e at both ends by Glenroe and has them in great condition going into the final. The final score was Glenroe 2-12 Knockainey 0-11.
