SENIOR HURLING LEAGUE De La Salle 1-17 Tallow 1-21

Our second league game brought us the long journey to Waterford city on Saturday last.

The first half had moments of good sharp crisp hurling but we let in a sloppy goal that had De La Salle back in the game.

The second half was very stop, start and was littered with frees. We closed out in the game to win.

DEISE DRAW

Deise Draw has been put back to 27th July.

COIS BHRIDE U15s Cois Bhride 2-13 De La Salle 4-06

In our final group game we entertained a strong De La Salle team in Tallow. De la Salle got off to the better start and with the elements at their back opened up a six point lead in the first half. We countered their lead with Stephen Murphy from placed balls and Alex Goode from play making the score line more manageable.

In the second half Luka Tobin scored a goal and point in quick succession and he turned the game on its head. Our defence was under serious pressure and De La Salle scored two goals leading into the final quarter. A few things of note in ending. Our midfield powered into the game and Stephen and Joseph were the outlay and launching pad to all of our attacks. Conor’s range from placed balls improved and the score was interchanging throughout the ending. Aidan Murphy scored a great left handed goal strike to push us into the lead. De La Salle cut through again in attack but were thwarted by Billy Murphy in goals. In a way of excitement the whistle blew for a one point win.

Team: Billy Murphy, Gearoid Hynes, Jack Henley, Paul Henley, Taylor Toohig, Ben Grey, Harvey Hagan, Steve Murphy, Joe McDonnell, Darragh O’Brien, Conor Henley, Danny Power, Shay Pratt, Aidan Murphy, Alex Good. Subs used Luca Tobin, Dean Cronin, Ben Sheehan.
