JUNIOR C

Glenville travelled to Midleton on Friday last for their first junior C game of the campaign. On a wet damp night Glenville were quick off the mark and a well timed pass from Paddy O’Sullivan sent Gearóid White in 1on1 with the keeper which he calmly slotted in to the back of the net. After both teams kicking a few points, Midleton ramped things up a gear scoring 3-1 without reply. After the first water break Glenville steadied the storm and went in at halftime trailing Midleton 3-3 to 1-6.

Within 5 minutes of the restart points from Paddy O’Sullivan and Colin Keeffe reduced the deficit to the bare minimum. Midleton continued to battle and scored another 3 unanswered points. Just before the water break a well worked move started by JJ ended up in the hands of colin who converted to the back of the net. Another point by Kyle brought the teams in level with 15 minutes to play.

The last quarter was all Glenville, outscoring their opponents 1-3 to 0-1 leaving the final score Glenville 3-12 Midleton 3-07.
