Field development update
Our field development is progressing well. Last week, work started on the walkway by digging the trenches and laying the foundations for the walkway.
Due to Cúl Camp this week, no work is been carried out but work will once again resume next week. Thanks to all members for their cooperation.
FINAL LEAGUE GAME
Our senior footballers finished off their league game with a victory over Bruff in Bruff on July 6th. Well done to the management, team and players on completing the league campaign.
JUNIOR A LEAGUE FINAL
Best of luck to our junior A footballers who take Camogue Rovers this Thursday night in Kilfinane at 7.30pm. This team have had some great performances and we wish them all the best of luck.
HARD LUCK
Hard luck to Bob and Tommy Childs who were part of the Limerick senior side who lost out to Cork last Saturday. Well done on your season for the year.
GALTEE GAELS GAA KELLOGG’S CÚL CAMP
The Galtee Gaels 2021 Cúl Camp opened on Monday morning at O’Mahony Park. The organisation was superb as Martin Casey and his team of volunteers ensured a smooth and seamless introduction with participants arriving from well before the starting time. The camp was up and running minutes after 10am. The online booking and the direct delivery of kits eased the task of camp co-ordinator Eric Kelly considerably.
A team of fourteen coaches, under James Ryan, Games Development Administrator with Limerick GAA, had their one hundred and twenty plus attendance settled in no time favoured by very pleasant weather conditions. All are looking forward to a very enjoyable week.
UNDER ELEVEN TEAM
The Galtee Gaels under eleven team participated in a blitz on last Tuesday evening. In a typically damp Galbally evening fourteen girls and boys were mustered to take on the might of Galbally and Garryspillane. Each player got full game time in numerous positions in the two seven a side games played in damp under foot conditions.
Many thanks to the five girls, Saoirse, Miah, Ciara and the two Aoifes for playing so well. Its nice to see some new faces making it into the under eleven scene like Hugh Cunningham, Jack Geary and Joshua Fletcher.
Team: William Lonergan, Conall Ryan, Joshua Fletcher, Hughie Cunningham, Noel Cronin, Aoife Casey, Mossy English, Ciara Maher, Saoirse Clifford, Jack Walsh, Aoife Noonan, Miah Cleary, Conall Ryan and Colm O’Mahony.
YOUR FAVOURITE PLAYER?
Tell us who your favourite county player is and you could win some cool kit and a chance to chat to your hero! RTÉjr have teamed up with the Gaelic Players Association to hook you up with this championship prize.
We are asking young fans to tell us who their favourite male or female player is and why. This means that we have two prizes - one with a Gaelic footballer/hurler and another one with a LGFA/camogie star.
You just need to pick one and send in a short video telling us why that legend is your number one and you could win a signed replica jersey, some of their actual kit and a video call for some one on one advice. Click on the link in the Galtee Gaels text message circulated on 7th July or Google ‘RTEjr GPA’ for further information.
