MURIEL AND DERMOT DO IT BIG TIME FOR T.O. PARK
God was good to us last Sunday when he kept away the rain and let the sun shine to give us a great open air concert. On stage was the fabulous Muriel O’Connor and Fran Curry later to be joined by the one and only Dermot Lyons.
Full of energy and with great songs Muriel really did bring the house down, without the roof of course! She and Fran are just brilliant together.
Dermot Lyons of course had his own following and he got a big clap when he announced it was his first gig in a year and a half. His music as always was very well received.
People came from near and far and packed the Park with just short of 100 cars. We had visitors from Wexford, Clare, Laois, the midlands and Skibbereen.
Among them was Anne Lynch from Hospital, who was celebrating a special birthday. She loves Muriel and had a ball. Happy birthday Anne. You are one special lady and we can’t wait to have you travel with us again in the near future.
None of this would have happened but for the generosity and kindness of our only man Johnny McGrath of McGrath Transport. He provided us with a huge super truck which was ideal as a fine stage. Thank you Johnny, we really are indebted to you as we could not have staged our concert without you.
