Beginning our review

This week is yet again a quiet one for the region. We are getting ready to send our officers to officer training which will be a great opportunity for our officers to get together and meet up in person.

This year’s officer training is in a blended format which sees regional and county officers from all over Munster

Macra and further afield take part in a team bonding day at Ballyhass Lakes. It’s sure to be a great day. Specific officer training takes part later on in September online but we’re delighted to see Macra get back up and running as events are slowly moving back to in person events.

This week we continue with our year in review. January saw us do a throwback to Car

rigaline Macra’s New Year’s ball from previous years as we reflected on what should have been. Always a great night. We asked members to send in their memories from the ball and we got a huge response from clubs in our own region and up the country. It’s usually a very well attended night not just from Cork Macra and it’s a great excuse to dress to impress. We were really impressed by the amount of photos that were sent in. We hope it will return again in person soon.

February saw Kinsale Macra hold their annual bingo night. This is in

aid of KYSS and is very well received every year. A total of €890 was raised which is a great achievement. It was a great night of fun which we really enjoyed. Well done to everyone involved in organising the event. We had a great night.

Don’t forget to keep an eye online for upcoming events as we prepare for the new Macra year.
