INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE FINAL

The intermediate team will contest our first final of the season, following a great victory over Tramore in the semi-final. The league is played in an 11-a-side format which makes for very entertaining viewing. The girls take on Na Déise with the time and venue yet to be announced. Keep an eye online for these details.

Na Déise defeated us by a goal in the group stages so it’s guaranteed to be a close contest, but hopefully all the effort that is being put into training will pay off and the silverware will be brought home to Ballyduff. Best of luck to all the team and management.

U12

Our U12s had an excellent win over Kilrossanty Brickeys on Monday night. You can really see the girls improving from game to game, with some lovely football on display from both teams. Well done to all involved and thanks to Kilrossanty Brickeys for travelling up to us. Final score - Ballyduff 4-05, Kilrossanty Brickeys 2-02. We faced Gaultier in our next game on Wednesday, August 4.

U14

On Wednesday night last week our U14s took on Gaultier in Ballyduff. The whole team put in a great performance and were deserving winners in the end. There were some lovely scores on display as well as some very determined defending. Well done to all the girls and to the coaching team of Barry Collins and Helena Kearney. Thanks to Gaultier for making the long journey up. Final score - Ballyduff 3-07, Gaultier 1-05. The next round of the U14 championship sees us face Dungarvan on Monday, August 9 in Dungarvan.

U16

Our U16s have finished first in their division, with four wins from four. This puts us in the great position of having a home semi-final to look forward to. Details to follow as soon as we have them.

MINOR

Well done to our minors who had a brilliant win over Na Déise on Monday night. This was a great contest between two evenly matched teams, and it was played in a very sporting manner. In what was a nail-biting finish, it took a superb team goal with the very last kick of the game to secure the points for Ballyduff. Well done to all the girls and to the management team of Mike Leamy and Noel Hayes. Final score - Ballyduff 4-10, Na Déise 4-08. This win sees us into the semi-final stages of the competition which is a great achievement for such a young team.

BEST OF LUCK

Best of luck to the Ballyduff U15 hurlers who take on Clonea Power in the county final on Wednesday night.
