Cork Penny Dinners

-

As Christmas approaches our thoughts turn to anyone who is struggling in any way.

Cork Penny Dinners spend all year round helping people who struggle and those in need. They currently serve up to 2,000 meals per week. A hot nourishing meal of soup, main course, dessert, tea or coffee is served daily. In addition, sandwiches, biscuits, fruit and juice are also available to take away as an evening meal.

Once again John Ryan and Emer Buckley of Ballyhooly want to do their bit to help the good work to continue.

Collection points will be set up until Sunday, 19th December at Amber Ballyhooly, Downey’s Spar, Castletownroche, Doneraile Golf Club, Riordan’s SuperValu Fermoy and Roche’s Spar, Mitchelstown. Non-perishable food stuffs, cleaning products, toiletries etc would all be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 Cork Penny Dinners have been unable to accept clothing, toys etc., from us, so for this year we are unable to take these items.

Once all the donations have been received, John and Emer will deliver the items to Cork Penny Dinners so they can be distributed to those who need them in time for Christmas Day.

Your support would be greatly appreciated.
