New jobs for Mitchelstown as Lidl reopens
The newly extended and modernised Lidl store in Mitchelstown is due to open this week, bringing an investment of €7.6 million to the local community and creating four new jobs.
The total number employed at the supermarket will be 21, and the new store features larger aisles, higher ceilings and a bakery. The store will have new facilities in their carpark, such as lighting and additional parent and child parking spaces, as well as disabled parking spaces.
Store manager, Joseph Moynihan, said they were delighted to be back open.
“We are beyond delighted to finally be able to re-open the doors of our Mitchelstown store and welcome customers to experience the new features. The team have worked exceptionally hard to have the store ready.”
To mark the new store opening on Thursday, December 2nd, the Lidl Mitchelstown team will be donating €1,000 in Lidl vouchers to the Cope Foundation.
