All-Ireland in Gowran
Congratulations to siblings Michéal and Rachael Walsh who both won their junior category at the Glenville road-race on Sunday. They had a very good race as they are at peak fitness in preparation for the All-Ireland uneven age juvenile XC championships in Gowran this coming Sunday. They will be joined by few more of our members who have also been selected on the Cork and Munster teams: U11 Cliona Hurley, U13 Emilie McElvaney, U15 Rachel O’Flynn and U19 Cian McGirr.
Roisin McLoughlin, who finished first at the County Intermediate in Whitescross a few weeks ago, will compete in the All-Ireland XC Novice on the same day. The club will also be represented by Liam O’Connor, who scored with the Cork team at the Munster masters championships in Clarecastle on Sunday and won an individual medal in his age category at the county championships. David Greene, who has competed in several XC races this year, will also compete for the club.
We would like to wish you all the very best of luck. Enjoy the experience of competing at the All-Ireland. It is always an honour to wear the Munster, Cork and Club singlets at such an event. We are very proud of you.
