Sights set on Munster championship
After our fantastic county final win our sights are now firmly set on the Munster Championship, both ourselves and Limerick champions Caherline got byes to the semi-final stage.
The quarter finals took place last weekend with our near neighbours Skeheenarinky beating Tralee Parnells of Kerry 1-22 to 0-08. They will now play Ogonelloe of Clare in the other semi-final. Ogonelloe overcoming Brickey Rangers of Waterford 3-13 to 2-13. Both semi-finals will take place the weekend of the 11th/12th December, we are still awaiting confirmation of our fixture.
NEW BALLYGIBLIN BABY
Congratulations to Brian and Sharon O’Gorman on the birth of their baby boy Ellis last weekend. Another Ballygiblin supporter and hopefully future hurler.
LAST MAN STANDING
After 13 long weeks of predictions we finally have a winner of our Last Man Standing competition, congratulations to William O’Flynn on winning the jackpot of €300.
THANKS
We would like to again thank everyone for all their well wishes and support, thanks to all the local clubs who got in contact to congratulate us on our win and of course our main sponsors Mitchelstown Credit Union and Jackie O’Brien’s.
MITCHELSTOWN GAA
Best of luck to the Mitchelstown footballers in the county final this weekend. Hopefully they can go one better than a few months ago when they were unfortunate to lose the 2020 final.
SYMPATHIES
The club would like to extend their condolences to the O’Brien, Molan and Casey families and friends on the death of Leish. Also to the Creed family and friends on the death of Ann. Ann’s husband Pat Creed was a member of the 1979 North Cork champions panel.
