MASS FOR DECEASED MEMBERS

A lovely Mass was celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Cahir was held on Monday, November 22 by Rev Fr Jack Meade of Rockwell College in memory of deceased members of Cahir Park Golf Club. Club president Neil Carey remembered the members who had died during the current golfing year. Many thanks to Fr Meade and to all who arranged the Mass and to all who attended.

MEN’S RESULTS

12 hole open singles stableford – Tuesday, November 16 to Thursday, November 18, overall winner Colm O’Flaherty 32 points, playing of 13. 14 hole open singles stableford – Friday, November 19 to Sunday, November 21. Category 1 Leonard O’ Connor 35 points playing of 7. Category 2 Aaron Magee 35 points playing off 12. Category 3 Jimmy McCarthy 33 points playing off 16.

12 hole open singles stableford – Monday, November 22 to Thursday, November 25, overall winner Lee Grogan 25pts playing off 8.

14 hole open singles stableford – Friday, November 26 to Sunday, November 28, Category 1 Paul Nugent 32 points playing off 7, Category 2 Donal Mullane 33 points playing off 12, Category 3 John O’Brien 32 points playing off 23.

LADIES TURKEY COMPETITIO­NS

The bi-weekly competitio­ns continue to deliver exciting results and a wide range of prize winners. Turkey No 7 played Friday 19th to Sunday, November 21 over 14 holes was won by Kathleen Lonergan (H/C 16) 31 pts with Susan Carey (H/C 17) 27 pts in second place. Turkey No 8 played Thursday, November 25 in freezing wind over 12 holes was won by Miriam Halley (H/C 12) 24 pts. Second place went to Breda Keating (H/C 13) 22 pts (C/B) with Kathleen

Alton (H/C 13) 22 pts in third place.

SEASONAL TEMPERATUR­ES

Jack Frost visited the county at beginning of the week and left our Tuesday ladies without the weekly scramble. Fingers crossed for milder conditions next Tuesday!

LADIES CHRISTMAS SCRAMBLE

A date for diaries, Thursday, December 9. Christmas jumpers and hats will be the style of the Day. Champagne scramble with draw for playing partners on Tuesday, December 7.

Very sincere thanks to sponsors of the scramble, Murphy Candles, Cahir who are always very generous to the ladies club. Hamper and turkey prizes played throughout October to December will be presented by ladies captain Margaret Gill. A raffle in aid of St Vincent de Paul, Cahir branch will be held on the day.
