Killavullen walking trails undergoing big upgrades
€70,000 is currently being invested in improving walking and trekking routes in Killavullen.
Cork County Council, in conjunction with Coillte and Killavullen GAA are currently undertaking the works, including resurfacing of a number of access points to the forest in the Nagle Mountains, from the Cappagh Wood side.
Improvements will also be made at the graveyard carpark outside of the village, and resurfacing of access to Ballynageehy Wood.
New map boards will be installed at various locations, as well as the provision of toilet facilities and bicycle stands at the GAA grounds, and improvements to the access at the Old Railway Walk.
Works are anticipated to be completed in early 2022.
