Former Loreto students recipients of scholarship awards

-

The Loreto Fermoy school community are very proud to announce that 4 of our Leaving Cert students from 2020/2021 are the recipients of UCC Entrance Scholarships, based on Leaving Certificate results.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Gráinne Branagh (Quercus Entrance Scholarship), Mary Ryan (Language Scholarship), Eva Donnellan (BEd Gaeilge Scholarship), Sinéad Murphy (Quercus Entrance Scholarship) and Katie Ellen O’Flynn ( Quercus Entrance Scholarship).

For the students and for the school, this is an outstanding achievement.

The girls worked hard and were diligent and motivated senior cycle pupils. They rose to all challenges and always maintained a positive attitude.

As active members of the school community, the former Loreto Secondary School students were also involved in extracurricular activities. Eva took on the role of deputy head girl and was an inspiration to students throughout the school.

The girls are now in their first year of college and embarking on new adventures. Katie and Sinead are studying Pharmacy, Grainne is studying World Languages and Eva is studying the Bachelor of Education in Gaeilge and Spanish.

Grainne and Eva will be studying abroad in year three under the Erasmus Student Exchange programme, a wonderful opportunity.

We wish all the girls well in their current studies.
