Nominations for 25th EY Entrepreneur Of The Year programme now open
Fermoy EY Entrepreneur Of The Year, Brian O’Sullivan, this week spoke of the win in 2021 as being “one of the most rewarding experiences” of his career.
The CEO of Zeus Packaging spoke as the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year programme celebrates its 25th anniversary in Ireland this year. The competition officially opened its call for nominations last Thursday, where entrepreneurs from emerging businesses, to established and international groups across all sectors, are invited to submit their nominations. Entrants have between now and 28th February to enter.
Mr O’Sullivan, who won the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in 2021, commented on his experience of the programme.
“Entrepreneurs tend to be obsessive and when we set our sights on a goal, we put all our energies into reaching it. Being named as EY Entrepreneur of the Year™ has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, validating years of hard work and ambition, and opening up a whole new business network for Zeus.”
The programme is open to entrepreneurs from all sectors and growth stages in both the Republic and Northern Ireland. The awards programme is divided into three categories - Emerging, Established and International - with eight finalists chosen per category.
This year, the programme’s inaugural Sustainability Award will also be presented to one of the finalists, recognising the critical importance of innovation and leadership in meeting collective sustainability challenges. This award will be presented to the finalist who is making the biggest contribution towards environmental sustainability through their business.
The 24 finalists will be selected by an independent judging panel, comprising former winners and chaired by Anne Heraty of CPL Resources plc.
Anyone interested can find out more or complete an online nomination form at www.eoy. ie. Those nominating someone else must do so with the entrepreneur’s consent.
