Coláiste Fionnchua Strategic Plan 2022-2025

-

In 2019, we implemented the first of our three-year strategic plans, which ran until 2021. Following investigation and discussion with our school partners, six keystones were identified as crucial to the success of the school. All elements have ‘Learning and Teaching’ at their core.

The success of this strategic plan was reflected in the continuing development of teaching and learning on the school campus and success in State Exam results. It was also reflected in the growing interest in the school, which has culminated in vastly increased enrolment numbers for 2022. The school’s success has been supported by Cork ETB in their awarding of €4.2mn for an extension.

Our 2022-2025 Strategic Plan has been developed and is now being implemented. Once again, ‘Learning and Teaching’ will be to the forefront. The new keystones will focus on Academic Excellence, Digital Innovation, Our Ethos, Beyond the Classroom, and Connecting our Community. Our strategic plan ensures that the school will continue to build and develop both academically, socially and personally.

Principal of Coláiste Fionnchua, Mr Edward Cronin, is delighted with the progress being made, saying: “Our 2022-2025 Strategic Plan is the culmination of a consultative process with our staff, students and parents. It gives everybody an opportunity to have an input into our school and our ethos and to shape the priorities that will guide and motivate our students for the next three years.

“Our Strategic Plan allows us to prioritise our learners, while maximising the strengths of our staff. We are excited about the next three years and implementing our

Strategic Plan.”
