Liam O’Brien ready for World event
On this Sunday, Fermoy Cycling Club’s Liam O’Brien will be competing for Ireland in the World junior cyclo-cross championship in Arkansas in the USA and he is wished the best of luck from all Fermoy cycling supporters.
The last winter season has been a great one for the young Fermoy man, with excellent results all over Ireland and abroad. The home season was finished two weeks ago by Liam when he was a clear winner in the Junior All-Ireland Championships in Armagh.
He has already competed in the European Championships and is looking forward to competing at World level.
Now that the cyclo-cross season has finished on the domestic cycling scene, the Fermoy Cycling Club is resuming Sunday spins on the road in preparation for the 2022 road-cycling season, which starts in March and spins now start from the Town Park gates at 9am sharp.
