GOOD TO BE BACK

-

The first meeting of the New Year took place in the club rooms on Monday night last. There was a great crowd there with a renewed sense of optimism for the year ahead. There were many topics discussed which led to great engagement on the night. Everyone was in agreement that there is a lot to look forward to this year.

It was the first official meeting under the auspices of One Club and it was fantastic to see the wider contribution from across the floor from all the various groupings within the club. In relation to the ladies club we heard that we will be entering two new codes, U16 ladies and Junior, with help from members of the club. This is fantastic to see and exactly what the One Club espouses.

One of the key items the club discussed was the proposed county board championship. There will be a board meeting this week to clarify some of the areas and the club itself will recommend how to vote on the structure. There was much debate on this issue and I’m sure it will bring diverse opinion and commentary over the next few weeks.

The five year plan will also be discussed shortly at a meeting of the club.
