Excitement through the roof at CBS Primary, Mitchelstown

-

Here at CBS Primary, excitement is building ahead of Saturday’s All-Ireland final in Croke Park. The boys and staff have been celebrating in all sorts of ways - creating art work, singing songs, learning about Croke Park, writing good luck cards and dressing in red and white. Ms O’Callaghan even climbed onto the roof of the school to photograph 1st and 2nd classes creating this “Go Bally” message on the ground.

We look forward to Tom O’Donoghue’s “Up For The Match” event on Friday, where we will have the opportunity to show our support. Thanks to Ms O’Gorman and Ms Griffin for all their work preparing this. After quick thinking by Mr O’Regan, principal, Mr O’Connell has organised a bus to the match for some boys, who may not otherwise have the opportunity, for whatever reason. We are grateful to the staff who have volunteered to travel and to supervise these boys on the day.

On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have some of the Ballygiblin team join us for our “Active 10” exercises in the yard. We thank them for taking time out of their busy schedule. Thanks to Ms O’Regan for this week’s (fitting!) positive quotation - “Believe you can and you’re half way there!” We are also so fortunate that Mitchelstown and Ballygiblin Juvenile GAA have given all classes the opportunity to train under the highly acclaimed sports star Mark Keane. The boys are really enjoying it and they are improving every week.

Ahead of Saturday, we want to wish all the team and management, particularly anyone associated with our school, the very, very best! ‘Hon the Crossroads!!!
