Rebels’ Bounty 2022 update

With 3 weeks to go we have just passed our minimum target from the County Board of 70 members. From here on, all monies raised will go 100% to Kildorrery GAA, ladies football and camogie club. Thanks to everyone who signed up so far. Last year we got 190 members and are aiming higher this year to support developmen­t plans over the next few years.

Signing up is easy. Online - takes 2 mins or contact Eamonn McCarthy or any club officer. Cost - €100 for 12 draws or €10 per month for 10 months to enter 12 draws. Prizes - 30 per month with minimum €20k top prize each month and €100K in December. Also if anyone living away or abroad and would like more details, please let us know. Thank you for your support.

MEETING

Our second meeting of the year was held on Monday night with a good attendance. There were many items discussed including the new grading structure for our adult teams.

GAMES

Our U21 football championsh­ip will commence on Saturday, February 12 in Doneraile where we will take on Buttevant.

100 CLUB

The next 100 Club draw will take place on February 21st.

CLUB LOTTO

There was no winner of the previous draw. Jackpot next time Monday, February 7 will be €5,400. You can now play online on the smartlotto website. Please drop books into Monaghans by 6pm on Sunday.

HOME BINGO

Kildorrery home bingo books are now on sale in Centra, Post Office, Community Office and Maxol. Snowball prize this week is €500. Drive-in bingo will be scheduled for early February.

CLUB GEAR

Club gear is available online on the O’Neills website as normal and also in the Print House Mitchelsto­wn following online shop that was set up before Christmas.

CONGRATULA­TIONS

Well done to our fantastic camogie players from Kildorrery on the Pres team on winning the Munster Senior Schools final, playing against Nenagh. Final score 7-11 to 0:4. Well done girls. Enjoy the celebratio­ns. Further celebratio­ns all round for our club members this week. Camogie - congrats once again to our senior schools camogie players Niamh Mullins, Ciara Murphy, Theresa O’Flynn and Kaya O’Keeffe, winning their semi-final camogie game v Brogans Bandon on Weds, qualifying now for a senior schools Munster final v Nenagh this Sat. Best of luck in final. Basketball - Congrats to Ciara O’Mahony member of the successful U16 Post Primary Schools Basketball Team, who are now county champions and to their coach Noreen Pigott. Camogie - Congrats to Ciara Palmer and Vanessa Burke, club members on the U16 and half camogie team with Coláiste Fionnchua, beating Edmund Rice College, Carrigalin­e during the week. Coláiste Fionnchua are now in the county final. Camogie - finally, well done to Emma O’Dea representi­ng her club Kildorrery camogie on the U14 Avondhu camogie team. Good luck to one and all.

Finally we have been reliably informed that Ian Butler is the first Kildorrery GAA player to ever start a game for UCC in Fitzgibbon Cup today. Congrats Ian.

The club would like to wish Ballygibli­n the best of luck in the forthcomin­g all Ireland final as well as Sean O’Donnell who is involved with Ballygunna­r from a senior perspectiv­e.
