PAT AND MARIA WINNERS
On Sunday morning we had a great turnout of players for a scotch fourball competition. Weather-wise it was a good morning for pitch and putt. Pat Houlihan and Maria Roche were 1st nett winners on a score 42. Barry Doyle and Michael O’Meara were 1st gross winners (on the back 6) on a score of 53. John Walshe and Sheila Hegarty were 2nd nett winners on a score of 43 1/2. Patsy O’Mahony and Michael McGrath were 2nd gross winners on a score of 53.
On Tuesday afternoon we welcomed two new players to competition, Bobby Gardiner and Liam Roche. We had a fourball competition with 2 scores to count at no 9 and no 18. Bobby teamed up with Michael Gowen to win 1st nett on a score of 48. John Hogan and Michael McGrath were 1st gross winners on a score 61. Joe Lee and Nell Coughlan were 2nd nett winners on a score of 481/2. Seán Howard and Catherine Morrissey were 2nd gross winners helped by a hole in one by Catherine at hole number 9 on a score of 61.
On Thursday afternoon we welcomed a new lady player to competition, Abina McDonnell. We had a scotch fourball competition, the winners were Christy Murphy and Seamus O’Connell (helped by a hole in one at no9 by Christy) on a nett score of 421/2. Joe Lee and Seamus Fox were 1st gross winners on a score of 56.
Tuesday and Thursday afternoon’s competition tees off at 2.30pm sharp. Sunday morning competition tees off at 10.15am sharp.
AGM
The AGM of our club takes place in our clubhouse on Monday night, February 14 at 8pm sharp. All playing members are earnestly requested to attend. Important matters regarding the working of the club going forward will be discussed.
