All teams back in action 2022
U12 MUNSTER BLITZ
Fermoy U12 travelled to Garryduff, Rochestown to take part in their first Munster U12 hockey blitz of 2022 on Saturday, 22 January. Fermoy fielded 4 teams in this event which was particularly enjoyable as the girls got to play on the water-based astroturf surface. Well done to all the players who gave it their all on the pitch, playing and securing victories against teams from the hosts Church of Ireland, Kinsale and Bandon. The girls will be eagerly looking forward to their next U12 blitz on Saturday, 5 March in Midleton College. Thank you to all the parents who travelled in such great numbers to support the girls.

FERMOY U14
Fermoy U14 team played their first league match of 2022 away to Kinsale on Sunday, 30 January. Despite blustery conditions and playing on the far from ideal 4G astro-turf pitch, the Fermoy girls adapted well to the challenges and defended very well throughout holding their own against a physically strong Kinsale team. Hard work and persistence by our midfield and forwards was rewarded in the third quarter when Kinsale conceded an own goal.
Well done to the Fermoy girls and all the supporters who travelled in great numbers and whose vocal support was a key factor on the day. Fermoy play three further league matches over the next 3 weekends. Best of luck girls.

FERMOY DIVISION 5 - OFF TO A WINNING STREAK IN 2022
Well done to our division 5 team who have notched up 2 great victories to kick off 2022. The girls beat Tipperary 3-1 under lights in Fermoy on Tuesday, 18 January and followed with a 7-1 victory over UCC in Fermoy on Sunday, 22 January. This is a great boost for the team and management for 2022 and the second half of the season. We look forward to more wins in the coming games.
