COUNCIL SEEK TO CPO DERELICT KILWORTH SITE

A Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) has been lodged for a derelict site in the village of Kilworth.

The Compulsory Acquisition Housing Act case was lodged with An Bord Pleanala last week for site number 5 at Monadrishane, Kilworth. According to Cork County Council’s Derelict Sites Register, the site has been registered as derelict since April of 2012.

It is understood the site would have direct access to mains services, with no works having ever taken place at the site.

Now with An Bord Pleanala, the case is due to be decided by June 23, 2022.
