‘Hill set for all-weather pitch
Planning permission for a new all-weather Astroturf playing pitch has been granted to Watergrasshill GAA Club.
Cork County Council recently granted permission for the new facility at Condonstown South, along with the erection of four floodlighting structures.
According to the planning application, the development will also feature fencing, ball stop netting and an extension to the existing hurling wall, along with all associated site works.
The all-weather pitch is to be developed in an open space area located between the existing grass playing pitch and the eastern site boundary.
“The purpose of the development is to further enhance the facilities available to the Watergrasshill GAA Club members, a community-based club,” planning documents note.
Permission was granted subject to 22 conditions.
