Limerick host in-person Tidy Towns seminar for volunteers

Limerick City and County Council is inviting Tidy Towns groups from across the city and county to register for their first in-person Tidy Towns seminar since 2019.

The seminar takes place on 16th February in the Woodlands House Hotel, Adare. The council is advertisin­g its ‘excellent programme’ of guest speakers, including representa­tives from category winners, including Robbie Quinn from Abbeyleix, Co. Lough (Tidiest Small Town) and John Horan from Blackrock, Louth (county winner and Gold Medal winner).

Also speaking is renowned Tidy Towns judge Anne O’Leary, a former town planner, whi is ‘ a vastly experience­d adjudicato­r having been involved in judging the national Tidy Towns competitio­n for four decades.’

The seminar itself will commence at 6.45pm, and prospectiv­e Limerick Tidy Towns volunteers are asked to register for the event on Eventbrite in advance. Groups at all stages of their Tidy Towns journey, whether they are new to the competitio­n or seasoned competitor­s, are all encouraged to attend.
