Brooke Scullion is Ireland’s Eurovision hope
Derry performer Brooke Scullion has been chosen to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin in May with her own composition, ‘That’s Rich’. The competition was held on the Late Late Show Eurosong 2022 Special on Friday night.
The win was decided by a studio panel, international jury and by a public vote. Brooke, who was also a contestant on series 9 of the The Voice UK where she finished third in the final, received 78% of the combined points. She bagged the 12 points from the international jury and the televote, with the jury in the studio
awarding her just 4 points.
On Twitter she wrote: “I’ve woken up in a dream come true. Thanks you to everyone who made this happen and for your support. What an honour to represent my country at Eurovision. Italy here we come.”
