Searching for James’s family

Dear Editor,

I’m James O’Brien, born 14th March 1946 in St Kevin’s Maternity Hospital, Cork. I’m 75 now and have never found my birth family.

My birth record states my mother was Nellie or Ellen O’Brien born around 1906. She was 40 at the time of my birth. She possibly had 2 children before my birth. Her address was given as Grange, Fermoy, Co Cork.

She may not have been born there as we have not found any birth information for her in Fermoy.

As we are not allowed full access to our birth information in this country, I am writing this letter in desperation.
