Colours League finals this Thursday, February 10

The finals of the Colours League will take place today, Thursday, February 10. The plate final will start at 7pm and it’s team Purple playing against team White. In the league final, team Green will take on team Orange for the title at 8.30pm.

Afterwards, there will be a presentati­on of prizes and refreshmen­ts, so members are encouraged to come along to watch the finals on what should be an entertaini­ng social evening.

COLOURS LEAGUE RESULTS

Colours Plate semi-finals: Purple 26-19 Grey, White 27-24 Red. Colours League semi-finals: Green 34-17 Blue, Orange 20-19 Pink. Colours League Fixtures: Thursday, 10th February. Colours Plate Final at 7pm Purple v White. Colours League Final at 8.30pm Green v Orange. Presentati­on of prizes and refreshmen­ts will follow the finals.

MUNSTER WINTER LEAGUE PHASE II 2022

The first match of the Winter League took

place last Sunday, where the men’s grade 5 team took on Limerick Lawn in Mitchelsto­wn. The weather wasn’t ideal for the match, the wind making for tough playing conditions. The home side adapted the best, playing some fine tennis and won the match 3-1. Next up for the team is an away trip to Whitechurc­h on Sunday, February 20.

This coming weekend, we have five teams in action. On Saturday, February 12, the grade 6 ladies (paper) team are playing in Mitchelsto­wn against SundaysWel­l at 10am. The grade 6 ladies (scissors) team are also playing in Mitchelsto­wn, against Monaleen at 2pm.

On Sunday, February 13, our grade 2 men’s team are playing at home against Lakewood at 10am. This is followed by the grade 6 men’s team, also playing in Mitchelsto­wn, against Crosshaven at 2pm. The grade 4 ladies team face a trip away to Lower Aghada for a 12 noon start. We wish all our teams the best of luck in their matches.
