Funcheon Gaels back at it
The junior footballers returned to training last week, with great numbers. For the next few weeks, the group will train on the pitch in Kildorrery on Tuesdays at 7pm and will have strength and conditioning sessions on Saturdays at 10.30am on the astroturf at Mitchelstown Leisure Centre. Anyone interested in joining or returning to play, contact us via our social media pages.
BALLYGIBLIN HURLING
The result in Saturday’s final may have been heart-breaking, but the players and coaches can be proud of a superb performance. North Cork, County and Munster champions! Congratulations on an incredible season, from everyone connected with St Fanahan’s Camogie and Mitchelstown Ladies Football.
The atmosphere around the town has been electric and has really brought the community together. The last few months will be remembered forever and not just by those involved in the GAA. Thank you to the players for being so generous with their time, signing autographs and posing for photos with the youngsters in the town. Hopefully this will inspire the next generation of camogie and ladies football stars and bring more success to Mitchelstown.
If there are any girls interested in playing, contact us via our social media pages for further details.
CONDOLENCES
The club would like to extend its deepest sympathy to the Conway family on the passing of Gerry Conway. May he rest in peace.
