Cliona - the new Dolly!
Ever since she arrived on the scene, Cliona Hagan has had a massive impact on the Irish country music scene. She’s bubbly, enthusiastic and totally devoted to her career.
Cliona’s idol is Dolly Parton. She and her sister s grew up on a diet of Dolly’s music, Dolly being her mum’s favourite singer.
Cliona’s long held ambition was to sing and record Dolly’s well-known hits. So much so, that she has now recorded a 12-track album of her idol’s music.
People and the media are referring to Cliona as the new
Dolly, which Cliona considers a ‘massive compliment’.
Cliona is set to start out on a countrywide concert with the Sheerin Family Band. The concert will consist of some of Dolly’s favourite songs.
When Cliona played her album to her mother, which includes ‘Yellow Roses’, her mum’s favourite, it brought tears to her eyes. The album is called The Dolly Parton Songbook.
Cliona’s concert will include all the glitter and costumes associated with the famous American icon.
