Victory for debaters
Our senior debaters travelled to Aghinagh Hall recntly to go head to head against Awbeg Macra. The topic was ‘Macra na Feirme should change its name, image and activities’. Glanmire were proposing and Awbeg were opposing. Our team of Mike, Gillian, Declan and Karen put on a great debate to take first place and our own Karen was delighted to win best debater on the night. Best of luck to them in the next round.
Our weekly sports night continued and we were joined by members of Killeagh Macra also. Make sure to join us every Tuesday at 9.15pm in Upper Glanmire Sports Hall. New members always welcome and play for free on the first night.
Our Capers cast are also in the final stages of preparation for the national Capers semi-final on the 19th of February in Éire Óg, Ovens. Make sure to support them on the night as 5 fantastic teams take to the stage. Best of luck team Glanmire.
