The Avondhu

Capital gains

-

The big news this week is that the club were successful in its Sports Capital Grant application. As a result, we’ve secured funding to the tune of €98,000 which will allow our AstroTurf (expanded training area) project to proceed. There is of course a lot of work to be done and a considerable amount of money still to be raised, but this is a fantatsic start and in the not too distant future, our players, of all ages, can look forward to improved facilities. A sincere word of thanks to everyone involved in the application.

TRAINING CONTINUES

February is going to be a month of training with matches expected to start in March. This week’s programme is Wednesday (16th), Friday (18th) and Sunday (20th). Regular attendance is important and the expectation is we will be ready to hit the ground running in March.
