REBELS’ BOUNTY 2022
Enrolment for the 2022 Rebels’ Bounty Draw is now open and the deadline of February 21st for final entries is fast approaching. This is one of our main fundraising focuses for the year, with the club and county both benefitting from the sign-ups. Last year, we had a good increase on the prior year and we hope to retain all of our members for the coming year, and hopefully add some new members also. All proceeds from every new member who joins the draw will go to Castletownroche GAA Club.
Draws take place on a monthly basis, with 30 individual prizes each month. The prize pool for the year is €500,000. The draws for January and February will take place on the last Thursday of the month. To be in with a chance, please contact any committee member or text 0876175447 or 087-9261367 to get further details.
EVERY STEP COUNTS CHALLENGE 2022
Castletownroche GAA Club has signed up for the Irish Life sponsored “Every Steps Counts” Challenge. The objective is for each club to cover at least 4,000km between January 19th and February 23rd. With over a week to go, we have beaten the target so are in the hat for the spot prizes. Note that the public lighting is on over at the GAA pitch every night of the week from 5pm to 8pm for those wishing to use the GAA facilities for this great initiative.
U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Best of luck to Ballycastle Gaels U21 Footballers who get the 2022 competitive season underway in the Football Championship on Saturday next, when they take on Liscarroll Churchtown Gaels in Buttevant, with a 4.15 throw-in. The team would appreciate all support as they bid to reach the first final of the year.
