The Gradaim an Uachtaráin 2022 awards were announced and Galtee Gaels clubman, Patrick English was among the award winners for his dedicated service to the GAA for over fifty years.

Patsy English has given over a half a century of dedicated service to the GAA at club and county levels both on and off the playing field. The last ten years of his playing career overlapped with him becoming more and more involved in the administration of the club, something which has continued to the present day.

Recently he attended his 43rd consecutive Limerick GAA Convention and his 43rd South Limerick GAA Convention. He has served as his club’s South GAA delegate for 43 years and apart from a few short years during that time, his club’s Limerick GAA delegate, a position he holds to the present day.

Pat English served as secretary of Galtee Gaels for 10 years, vice-chairman for three and chairman for 20 years. Apart from being the club’s current Limerick GAA delegate, he is also his club’s dedicated Irish Officer.

Galtee Gaels are honoured to have Pasty English involved in with the club. At committee level, Pasty offers a great level of knowledge and expertise in the administration of the club. Most recently he played a major role in our field development and his presence onsite daily for the groundwork ensure a smooth running of operations.
