U10 MUNSTER BLITZ - BANDON GRAMMAR SCHOOL

Well done to all our U10 girls in Bandon recently. All players did really well and their skills are improving all the time. The coaches were delighted with the performance on and off the pitch. The Fermoy players will be looking forward to their match v Midleton in Fermoy on 27 February and to the final U10 blitz of the season in Fermoy on 20 March.

U12 MUNSTER BLITZ - CHURCH OF IRELAND HC, CORK

Fermoy U12 travelled to Garryduff, Rochestown to take part in their first Munster U12 Hockey blitz of 2022 Fermoy fielded 4 teams in this event which was particularly enjoyable as the girls got to play on the water-based astro-turf surface. Well done to all the players who gave it their all on the pitch, playing and securing victories against teams from the hosts Church of Ireland, Kinsale and Bandon. The girls will be eagerly looking forward to their next U12 blitz on Saturday, March 5 in Midleton College.

FERMOY U14

Fermoy U14 team have been enjoying a good start to 2022. The girls have so far recorded 2 wins, away to Kinsale (1-0) and home to Belvedere (4-1) and 1 defeat by Midleton Cheetahs (5-2). in the second half of the season. The U14s are away in Midleton College again this Friday night against Midleton Panthers which will compete our 8 league fixtures. At this stage, the Fermoy U14s would hope to qualify for the play offs in this Munster league, which would be a great achievement.

FERMOY DIVISION 5 - OFF TO A WINNING STREAK IN 2022

Well done to our Division 5 team who have notched up 3 great victories to kick off 2022. The girls beat Tipperary 3-1 under lights in Fermoy on Tuesday, January 18, followed by a 7-1 victory over UCC in Fermoy on Sunday 22 January and most recently a 2-0 win over Blackrock on 6 February. This is a great boost for the team and management for 2022 and the second half of the season. We look forward to more wins in the coming games.
