The juniors were at home to Cashel Town in a league game on Sunday at a windswept Scart Park.

The visitors had the aid of the breeze in the first half and dominated the proceedings in the early stages, but Rovers gradually grew into the game without unduly troubling the

Cashel. Both defences dominated and it was no surprise that we reach the midway point scoreless although Cashel looked dangerous.

On the restart Rovers began to push on but found it difficult to create scoring chances. Play was confined to the middle third where both sides battled hard without creating vital openings.

The home side had the better of the half chances in the final fifteen minutes but both sides had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 0-0 draw.

It was the first scoreless draw at Scart in a number of seasons.
