Intercounty debut for Mark Keane
While much of the local attention last weekend was focused on Mark Keane’s impressive first start for the Cork senior hurlers, another Mitchelstown native was donning a Cork jersey on the same day. Our own Thea Coleman made her competitive debut for the Cork minor camogie team in their comprehensive win against Dublin, in the group stages of the All-Ireland. A win which secures Cork’s place in the knockout stages. A proud day for Thea, her family and the club.
Training continues for U14 football and camogie, junior camogie and the Funcheon Gaels junior footballers. More groups will be returning next week. Team coaches will contact each age group as pitches become available.
