Rathcormac gets new service station
‘Badly wanting’ was the reaction of most people we spoke to at last Friday’s official opening of the new service station in Rathcormac. Within minutes of the ‘green light’, motorists started arriving, all eager to avail of introductory offers.
While it’s costing us more to fill up, East Cork Oil are confident their prices will compare favourably with any opposition. This company was well represented at the opening, with one of their new recruits, former All-Ireland hurler with Cork, Sean Og O hAilpin, on hand to meet and greet. The retail side of the operation is provided by Costcutter. Spokesperson, Stephen Owens, said they were delighted to be up and running.
“It’s a great location, East Cork Oil and Urban Sips (coffee) are on board and we’re already very busy, public reaction has been very positive,” he told TheAvondhu.
A HUGE BOOST FOR RATHCORMAC
Rathcormac is in growth mode and this shows no signs of abating. More houses, more amenities, an already full ‘new school’, ambitious plans for the village centre, all spell good news for the area. Little wonder that organisations like East Cork Oil and Costcutter want to be part of this success story.
