Disabled parking bay for Emmet Street

A new disabled parking bay is to be installed on Emmet Street in Fermoy.

The request went before the council at last week’s meeting of the Fermoy Municipal District.

Senior Engineer with Cork County Council, Brendan O’Gorman, noted that there is currently no disabled parking bay on this street and by installing one, anyone with a disabled parking permit will be able to utilise the space.

It was proposed that the disabled bay parking space be located across the road from the shop, on the corner of the junction where John Redmond Street meets Emmet Street.

The request was proposed by Cllr Noel McCarthy and seconded by Cllr Frank O’Flynn.
