‘Chapatti’ opens at Cork Arts Theatre this Thursday

-

This Thursday sees the Palace Players open their four night run of the Christian O’Reilly-penned ‘Chapatti’ at the Cork Arts Theatre.

Tomas Quirke and Aisling McGrath who are in charge of lighting and sound have, along with the play’s director Danny Buckley, been revising the sound and lighting plot to ensure the best support possible for the duo on stage, group stalwarts Sean Ahern and Mary Flavin Colbert.

THE STORY

‘Chapatti’ is a charming piece of theatre which is sure to please. Those who saw it in 2020 prior to it being stood down due to Covid19, were loud in their praise for the strength of acting in this production.

Romance is a distant memory for both Dan and Betty - two lonely animal-lovers living in Dublin. But when Dan and his dog Chapatti cross paths with the amiable Betty and her nineteen cats, an unexpected spark begins a warm and gentle story about two people re-discovering the importance of human companionship.

Please note that ‘ Chapatti’ will be performed without an intermission and contains or references sensitive issues.

Booking at www.corkartstheatre.com or call (021) 450 5624 - opening night offer - seats €10.
