Dairygold confirms January milk price

Dairygold has increased the January Quoted Milk Price by 1.0cpl to 41.5cpl, based on standard constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat, inclusive of bonuses and VAT.

In addition, the January Early Calving Bonus of 3.0cpl (excl. VAT) will be paid on milk supplied in January in accordance with milk quality criteria.

This milk price equates to an average January farm gate milk price of 51.9cpl, based on average January milk solids, achieved by Dairygold milk suppliers.

The quoted milk price for January based on EU standard constituents of 3.4% protein and 4.2% butterfat is 45.3cpl (excluding the January Early Calving Bonus).

A company spokesperson commented that “global dairy demand remains strong for the foreseeable future with weakened supply likely to support current prices, even allowing for significant increases in processing costs. As, is customary, the Dairygold board will continue to monitor markets closely and review milk price on a month by month basis.”
